FINANCIAL NEWS, INFORMATION AND SHARE PRICES The following sites provide On-Line, up-to-the-minute financial news and share price services. Some of the better sites offer on-line graphing and tracking of shares and the option to keep an on-line portfolio, etc.
UK INVEST Excellent intuitive and well written site, very easy to use. All information is free and includes share price information with a delay of 15 minutes. Also very clever graph services to plot share prices over the past and company information past and present. This is all one click away from the share price that you are looking at and shows lots of related information quickly. Other services include; news, portfolio tracking, daily newsletters sent to your E-Mail address and tips from the experts: surprisingly all these great features are absolutely free!
BLOOMBERG This is a UK specific award winning site. It is very clear, quick and user friendly. It offers a synopsis on all markets, a set of headlines which lead to pages containing the stories in full. Information on trends, expert advice and opinion information on markets and price details (20 minute delay.) Also stories about specific companies can be chosen while looking at their price quotes. REUTERS Good intuitive site, it is Bright and even has pictures! Information on all International markets can be seen here and the share-price service also includes graphing. Reuters update the price quotes regularly, with a delay of 20 minutes. Graphs not as clear as UKinvest site but can view a large number of markets at once: a lot of information on one page! This site offers information and price quotes for every global market!
THE STREET This site is much like ft.com only much more intuitive and easier to use and easier on the eye. Like Ft.com this site includes news articles, an archive article search, a price quote system, a portfolio tracker and an ISA center. There is also a comprehensive section on investor basics (Beginners information). INTERACTIVE INVESTOR INTERNATIONAL This is a UK site covering all forms of investment. On-Line trading is possible from this site (Prices & Deals), isa accounts can be started (ISAs) and a portfolio can be tracked. Also includes advice on all types of investment and many more features! FREEQUOTES This site offers a free real-time price quote! It also boasts a 'hotlist', a portfolio tracker, message boards, news and company information and an alert service.
STOCK ALERTS This site actually E-Mails any changes in your chosen stock prices and for a small fee will forward these messages to your mobile phone if you have Smart/Text Messaging Service.
MARKET EYE As a guest to this site you can get instant access to market prices and news (15 minute delay). If you register (registration is free) you can use the discussion forum, interactive charting facility, free software downloads and newsletters will regularly be E-Mailed to you. If you pay for the premium service (£10 per month) then you get access to real-time prices, multiple portfolios, news and company information archives and more.
FT Reliable site. It is a Newspaper on-line and much more. Uses same top quality writers as the Financial Times Newspaper. Not as intuitive to use, or to navigate, or to get information from as other sites; however very good financial news and information, as well as sports and world news. Other features such as a business search and article archives and personal organiser On-Line are also useful.
AAAFN AAAfn is a global company who offers stock quotes, company news, history charts, international charts, newsgroups and On-Line Portfolios. You can't trade through this site but you can trade through a broker found on this site.
INVESTORS INTERNET JOURNAL This UK site gives reports on any world market! It also offers a guide to ISAs. This is a good site, which is easy to use with lots of investing sources and different types of information.
MONEYWORLD Very good site which gives advice on personal finance and all types of investment. Shares can be charted and there is a search function. Other features include investment and money news offers On-Line and trading guides and cost comparisons between On-Line brokers. There is a lot of information available on this site for beginners. This site also offers links to many On-Line brokers.
EPO This site gives views on investment and financial information, it's main feature is the EPO Hot List: this is a list of soon to be floated companies. An EPO newsletter can be regularly E-Mailed to you also if you wish.
INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVICE ORGANISATION This is the site of the Independent Financial Advice Organisation. It provides independent financial advice and links to sites such as this
UK EQUITIES DIRECT Information service covering all of the UK stock market including the LSE and AIM companies, etc. This site includes an annual report service, news on mergers, acquisitions and name changes. It offers multiple search options and is up-dated weekly This site is ideal for gathering background info and all data is free.
FTSE INTERNATIONAL This site offers information on how the FTSE indicies are run, news and data services.

STOCKMASTER US site providing individual stock and mutual fund quotes and performance charting and an alphabetical index of stock names and symbols. Portfolio tracking of US stocks and lists of 'hottest stocks' etc are also offered. No registration is required for this site and all data is free.
QUOTE This site offers; financial market data and quotes on stocks etc, business news, annual reports and company profiles, portfolio tracking and information on global markets. Registration is required and it can take a while.
QUICKEN This site offers share prices with a 20 minute delay. Registration is required but is quick to set up. Quicken is comprehensive and especially good for share tracking as it was designed with On-Line portfolio tracking in mind. However this site offers information only on American Markets.
